Godin 1st June 2006
Finally
got there – only 17 days late (from first target date). Visit by
Catherine,
Chris Mourant and me. Taken by Robbie. 28 Cormorants ringed. Good visit
– with
most birds ringed. Only two nests with eggs or chicks too small. A few
too
large to ring.
Shag very late and reduced in number
from previous
year. Only seven chicks ringed. Again broods of two in the main (with
some
singletons).
Guillemots looked healthier than
L’Etac de Serk
with usual numbers and lots of eggs and a few small chicks.
Great Black-backed Gulls on eggs or tiny
young
(with at least 6 dead tiny chicks).
